The Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship develops core data skills - collecting, preparing, analysing and communicating insights clearly and responsibly. You'll learn how to combine datasets, spot patterns, maintain data quality, work collaboratively and apply modern data tools to real-world tasks.

Duration: In Learning 12 months | End Point Assessment 3 months
During the Level 3 Data Technician, your staff will develop a range of knowledge,

Data types and sources
Storage and date formats
Saving and structuring datasets appropriately
Selecting, migrating and formating data from identified sources
Value of data - Insights, decisions, trends and strategic planning
DATA PREPARATION, ANALYSIS & INSIGHT
Data preparation - cleaning, organising and standardising data
Data quality - Identifying and correcting errors
Combining multiple datasets and presenting outputs effectively
Data analysis tools and automation
Using data tools to identify trends and patterns
Summarising, analysing and clearly explaining data findings
GOVERNANCE, COMMUNICATION & PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
Anonymisation - Protecting privacy and meeting compliance requirements
Legal and ethical use - GDPR, data security and responsible handling, especially in AI
Communicating data insights in ways suited to different audiences
Documenting data work clearly and sharing in line with policies and legislation
Working sustainably, collaboratively and inclusively
Behaviours are an important part of an apprenticeship programme
in helping to shape and drive high performance.
